McCallum Karma

I have to admit that if we had to lose Sunday's game, McCallum was an appropriate evil specter from our past.  Who can forget the unforgivable behavior of SK Roughrider fans, when manure was spread on McCallum's yard (wait they couldn't even get the right house, his neighbour's lawn actually received the free fertilizer) after he missed a field goal causing an aching loss to BC in the 2004 play-off game.

So perhaps this is just karma and now that we have attained balance the Riders can go on to beat BC in their next encounter!

Fan by Foot

One of my favourite things about game day is the growing foot traffic as you near the stadium.  People of all ages and 'walks' of life heading to the stadium.

This is a Prairie Town

Football has a certain flavour on the prairies.  Somehow the sound of a freight train rumbling by in the middle of a play just seems appropriate.

Banjo Bowl Theory

I know that Sunday's game was a tad disappointing for Rider fans but let's put it in perspective.  Winnipeg desperately needed a win in their new stadium.  Frankly they've been playing well regardless of the Bombers current record.

Ideally we all would like to see a Winnipeg/Saskatchewan Grey Cup (not politically correct but wouldn't it be fun!!!).  So I believe Sunday's game was fate giving Winnipeg a chance.

The Big Game (no not the Banjo Bowl)

I'm still riding the high of the labour day classic!  What a great day for football.  The weather was perfect and the game, well what can a Saskatchewan fan say, it ended very well.
